What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a manual therapy used to help with the restoration of correct movement and functionality of the musculoskeletal system in order to help with overall health, comfort and performance.

Restrictions (often called "chiropractic subluxations") occur as a result of trauma, age, joint condition and abnormal stresses (such as ill-fitting saddles/harnesses etc.) and are restrictions in joint movement or hypomobility. Dysfunction of a joint can lead to these restrictions, which can be associated with pain, tension and stiffness. If left untreated, restrictions can lead to compensatory patterns and degenerative changes. Chiropractic is a hands-on, drug-free approach to improving the patient's comfort, pain levels and performance.

Chiropractic treatment consists of several methods, including manipulation (a high velocity, low amplitude, controlled thrust), in order to help restore joint mobility within it's normal range of motion and optimise nerve function.

Chiropractic should never replace conventional medicine, but is a great complement to help you or your animal achieve an optimal lifestyle and greatest potential. It is suitable for everyone, young, old, injured or healthy.
